The cost of the tracker includes 12 months access to the tracking console, after this period you can purchase a further 12 months access for £65 although you do not have to do this and can reactivate the consol at any time in the future, this and credit on the SIM are the only on going costs. The tracker uses a data connection over the GPRS network so the charge is made by data sent rather than time connected. If using a Vodafone pay as you go SIM card it would work out at approximately 4000 position reports for £5.00 of credit. For example, if your tracker is set to report every 1 minute this would give you over 70 hours of driving time as the tracker does not send position reports when stationary, if set to every 2 minutes this would double the amount of driving hours.
