The small purpose built waterproof enclosure is fitted with 2 powerful magnets that hold it firmly in place when deployed under a car or van and with its small size it is extremely difficult to spot even when looking under the vehicle..Onboard memory allows the unit to store GPS positions if the GPRS network becomes weak or is not available which can occasionally happen on any network irrespective of what SIM is used, as soon as the network becomes available the tracker will upload the saved data to the tracking console . The tracker can be viewed on our superb web based mapping system or on a mobile phone or a PDA
The tracker unit can be easily removed from the magnetic box allowing it to be used for asset tracking and personal tracking applications,making this one of the most versatile trackers on the market.
The cost of the tracker includes 12 months access to the tracking console,after this period you can purchase a further 12 months access for £65 although you do not have to do this and can reactivate the consol at any time in the future, this and a small amount of credit on the SIM are the only on going costs. The tracker uses a data connection over the gprs network so the charge is made by data sent rather than time connected. If using a Vodafone pay as you go Sim card it would work out at approximately 5000 position reports for £5.00 of credit. For example, if your tracker is set to report every 1 minute this would give you over 80 hours of driving time as the tracker does not send position reports when stationary, if set to every 2 minutes this would double the amount of driving hours.
AGPS (assisted GPS) This allows the unit to obtain a GPS fix much quicker especially when switching on (cold start) even under the most adverse conditions
